Rwandan hills coffee source

Sourced from the heart of

East Africa

Our StoryAbout Us

Our objective is to improve farmers’ income and livelihood through an ethical sourcing which embraces sustainable production. Cafe Collective is a result of identifying some missing parts of the puzzle in the industry-after the founder’s long record of working closely with farmers, it was inevitable to try something new with intent to reach out to these smallholder coffee farmers in need of understanding how important they are in the block-chain of the industry.

East African farmers whose lives have depended on coffee growing for generations, have encountered multitude of challenges including a quite recent and drastic one- Climate Change. Cafe Collective is driven by ethics and sustainability to equip farmers to address these challenges.

Founded by Julianne Kayonga, a coffee expert who’s been in this field for more than 2 decades, and Co-lead by her daughter Hannah Kayisinga who has been part of her mother’s coffee journey-bringing onboard her business and entrepreneurship expertise. These two are breaking the norms by being a woman led company focusing on elevating women farmers thus bringing a smile to their faces.
